The mixing tube is located in the nozzle block between the air nozzle and the main nozzle and has a major influence on how cleanly the air-fuel mixture is premixed in the partial load and load range. Depending on the version (BE1 - BE6), the flow rates change depending on the engine speed and load; the designation alone does not indicate whether the engine runs richer or leaner.
