41 mm gray cast iron racing cylinder with Latin American flair and 57 ccm displacement for your Puch M50, MS50, VS50, DS50, or VZ50 small motorcycle.
The valve timing offset of this tuning cylinder was deliberately kept low, resulting in particularly strong torque in the lower RPM range.
Thanks to the generous sealing surface, unlike many other cylinder kits, no additional casting is required to close the slot in the cylinder head.
Compared to the Sombrero racing cylinder for Puch Velux X30 models, this version has a thinner cylinder neck, allowing it to fit into the corresponding EX50 engine cases.
Differences between the Sombrero Velux cylinder and the original BADASS cylinder when combined with a matching GPO piston (not included):
- The matching GPO piston has a longer intake valve timing, thereby allowing for slightly higher RPMs
- Matching GPO piston with L-ring
The Sombrero loves the nightlife and, in addition to tequila, also enjoys an extra dose of gasoline. During his last trip to the disco, he discovered his penchant for large-capacity carburetors and powerful resonance flutes. So if you want to keep going until sunrise and tap into your last reserves of energy, then upgrade accordingly.
Note: The cylinder is shipped loose and without a piston, gasket set, studs, or other mounting parts.
For easy installation, we recommend using 26 mm stud bolts for the intake manifold and M6 nuts with a reduced wrench size. You’ll find both among the optional accessories.
