Complete HRT SX50 KTM clutch suitable for all Puch Maxi mopeds with an E50 engine.
High-end product, developed for racing and designed to withstand the highest loads. The CNC-machined clutch plates are manufactured to a tolerance of 0.5 g, ensuring smooth, consistent operation. The metal lining provides uncompromising clamping pressure and thus optimal performance.
The clutch hub is equipped with a keyway and fits all standard Puch crankshafts without any problems. The cone features a precise fit, and thanks to the existing thread, you can use your standard Puch clutch puller.
With the specially developed SWAT (Simple Weight Adjustment Technology), the engagement speed can be adjusted without having to disassemble the clutch. The lining weight can be easily adjusted using the included threaded pins. It can be varied between 39.5 g and 44 g, which corresponds to an engagement RPM adjustment range of approximately 1,000 rpm. The set screws should be secured with threadlocker (ideally Loctite 243) or tightened to at least 4 Nm.
The package includes disc springs instead of conventional springs. This allows for more precise clutch adjustment, and the disc springs are less prone to fatigue than conventional springs. The clutch is delivered partially assembled. The disc washers are not yet installed, so you can adjust the spring stiffness to suit your needs.
As a default setting for the initial installation, we recommend the following stack of spring washers: ()()()()()()( or a total thickness of the stacked disc springs of approximately 15.5 mm.
Notes:
The tightening torque for the M6 lining screws is 10 Nm.
The tightening torque of at least 35 Nm for the clutch nut must be strictly observed.
The axial play between the clutch hub and the clutch basket should be at least 0.2 mm when tightened.
If you use the clutch continuously on the racetrack, you should use stainless steel disc springs due to the high heat generation. You can find these, along with all individual parts, in the accessories section.
